Maurizio Vassallo

I am Maurizio Vassallo, a researcher and data scientist passionate about applying artificial intelligence to create real solutions. My journey bridges technology and purpose — using algorithms and data to improve how complex systems such as energy systems.

Currently, I am doing a PhD at the University of Liège, where my research focuses on optimization for modern power distribution networks. I work on challenges such as grid stability, renewable integration, and decision-making under uncertainty.

Before my PhD, I studied Computer and Data Science Engineering in Italy and China, gaining both technical depth and an international experiences. I have also worked on projects spanning healthcare, autonomous systems, and smart grids.
